Editorial standards
Editorial Policy
Legal information should be useful, jurisdiction-specific, dated and traceable to primary authority. Go To Court is upgrading its legacy US library to that standard.
Required standard for reviewed pages
- Named licensed-attorney reviewer with verifiable jurisdiction.
- Last substantive review date.
- Primary sources such as statutes, courts and government agencies.
- Clear distinction between information, consultation and representation.
- Prompt correction when the law or a factual source changes.
Legacy content
Some older location pages do not yet show a named US attorney reviewer or complete source list. Those pages display a review-status notice and must not be treated as personal legal advice. We are prioritising pages using user demand, legal risk and source freshness.
AI assistance
AI may assist research, drafting and formatting, but it is not evidence and is not a substitute for primary sources or qualified human review. Reviewed status is applied only after the required checks are recorded.
